This is an eye-opening, inspirational book conveying a very critical aspect of India’ civilizational spirit, and the moral dishonesty and arrogance of the colonial era in a simple, story-style narration. The author tells the story with historical citations and current medical connects.
The reader can identify with Tara. Her doubts, inhibitions, astonishment and experiences as she discovers the truth seem one’s own. The best part about the book is the positivity that Tara is led to by the author or by her grandfather, Nana whenever she looks to have the anger or offence taking over.
The book makes the reader realize the necessity to remove the dust from the original contributions of India’s past and show them the light of the day. Mitra has made a very appreciable beginning which needs to be followed by many others and uncover Bharat’s ancient knowledge hidden in our texts, culture, stories and customs that continue to exist despite the cruel assaults of varied natures since
centuries.
A must read for all, young, old, children, doctors, teachers, software developers, engineers, managers, artists… everyone.
The book may look like a booklet but it will stay with you for ever.
Thank you Mitra Desai for writing this wonderful book.
